Course Description: With so many choices of classes at Jump Start it is sometimes difficult to decide what direction to take. The Fun 4 Fido class will emphasize not only the behaviors learned in Basic Home Manners including sit, down, wait, come and walking on a loose leash but will also continue to build your working relationship with games, tricks, playtime and more.
In addition, students will get a brief overview of Agility, Rally, Competition Obedience, Freestyle, Tricks, and more.

Course Description: So, your dog does all the exercises at home and at Jump Start but hasn’t a clue when he goes to the store or to the park. This class is for you. We go as a pack to different parks and places. We encounter bicycles, kids, dogs, cats, ball games, trucks, stores, and so on. The class is always changing and continues as long as you like coming. Payment is made in five week blocks and you choose the five weeks. New people are asked to show up at least four times in the first seven weeks.
This class is currently available on Thursday at 2 pm. Once you sign up, you will log on to the Jump Start Dog Sports message board weekly to find where the class will be meeting. That information will also be on Line 4 of the Jump Start phone.

Course Description: Preparing the stable, caring and outgoing dog/handler team to serve the local community, health care facilities, children’s facilities and more. Teams will be prepared to offer “pet therapy” to those in need. Both members of the team should be able to handle the stresses of meeting and spending time with strangers, tolerate touching by strangers, be comfortable around the elderly and/or the infirm, and be able to interact with all kinds of people.
All Therapy Dog organizations will require both dog and handler to pass health certifications, skills testing, and temperament testing. While not for every dog or every handler, therapy dog teams bring smiles and laughter to those who may not otherwise have an opportunity to see dogs and the joys they can bring.
This course will include simulated testing – however, teams will be required to test with the organization of their choice to actually begin visiting in facilities.
