Disaster Preparedness and Planning (Part 2 of 5):
When you take your dog along on vacations, consider investing in several inexpensive dog tags that you make yourself at the pet store or Wal-Mart®. Put the number of each hotel, resort, or friend’s house on the different tags and attach the appropriate one along with the permanent tag to your dog’s collar. Be sure to change the temporary tag as you move from location to location. If your dog is separated from you, there will be your permanent number AND a local number for the finder to call.
