Nancy Amante has been involved with purebred dogs for more than 30 years. She has handled and finished American Kennel Club (AKC) Championships on more than 40 dogs in several breeds. However, Nancy is especially well known for her own breed, English Springer Spaniels.

Some of Nancy’s English Springer Spaniels have been ranked in the top 10 in the nation and invited to compete in the prestigious Eukanuba Nationals. In 2005, her nationally ranked bitch, Ch. Silverbow’s Follow your Heart, MX, MXJ, “Charlene”, was named the Parent Club National Dam of the Year in recognition of her only litter of eight puppies, all of which had completed their Championship titles. This is something that no other entire litter of eight dogs had ever done!

Nancy continues to groom, train, teach and compete in the ring in both conformation and agility. She teaches handling to those wishing to polish their presentation and make the next step in honing their handling skills for AKC shows. Nancy has judged Sweepstakes at Specialty shows in various breeds, and remains active in the sport.
