Rally Obedience Workshop: Understanding the New AKC Signs, Strategies for Success, & What You Need to Know to Get Your Title(s)

Jump Start Dog Sports is pleased to announce we will be hosting a new workshop on Sunday, January 21, 2018 featuring AKC Rally Judge, Vita Allison.
This workshop is designed for both new and continuing Rally Obedience enthusiasts, and will cover the following topics:

January 21, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (in the back field at Jump Start Dog Sports):

  • What you need to know about the New 2017 Rally Signs (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and
  • Excellent). Note: Master’s level signs will be handled in a separate 2018 workshop (not yet scheduled).
  • Learn how to develop effective trial strategies when walking a course.
  • What you need to know to get your Rally title(s).
  • How increased precision and crisper responses impact your score.
  • When to repeat a station – or not!!

What to bring:

  • Canopy, chair, dog crate/dog (working spots only)
  • We will provide coffee and pastries

Vita Allison is one of Southern California’s first AKC Rally judges. She continues to exhibit and do all she can to popularize the sport. Vita grew up showing in conformation and participating in many dog sports. She has titled over 30 dogs of different breeds in AKC and other venues, often achieving the highest awards and national rankings. She has been successful in multiple sports including competition obedience, coursing, herding, tracking, protection, and of course Rally with breeds like Borzoi, Whippets, Boxer, Doberman, Schipperke, Parson, and most recently her Australian Shepherd. Vita is always learning new training techniques and would love to help you master the sport of Rally.

    Would like to audit tomorrow’s Rally Workshop. Sunday, Jan 21, 9-12. Can I pay this morning, Saturday, Jan 20, or “at the door” tomorrow?

      Certainly Sharon!! The office is closed on Saturday, but you are most welcome to come to the workshop today and pay for your spot!
